The Elite Series 2 controller will be available for pre-order, and will initially be available for pre-order at $149

The product release details tease that “the Elite Series 2 is the world’s most customizable controller.” We’ve reached out to Microsoft for clarification on this, but we’ll do our best to get to the bottom of this story: The Elite Series 2 controller will be available for pre-order, and will initially be available for pre-order at $149.99. It will come with an official Xbox 360 Elite branded USB keychain. You can also pre-order the controller, offering those who pre-order will also receive a free copy of Elite: Dangerous Horizons. The Elite Series 2 controller has a 5.5″ touchpad on the front, and a 6.54″ touchpad on the back. You can store 16 profiles on the controller, allowing you to choose between friend profiles, car profiles, or both. Microsoft confirmed to Wired that there will be a variety of ways to connect to the controller, including the standard controller, a wired option, and an official Xbox 360 Wireless adapter. Xbox 360 Elite Series 2 Controller will be available for pre-order starting on November 15, but regular retail prices will start at $129.99.
